Eyes are a window into the soul; this place is a shrine to my soul, and my heart, and my mind. Take it in with a discerning gaze, but let your eyes be soft and kind, for that which you see here is very dear to me.

TL;DR - this is a SAFE ZONE blog; LGBTQAS+ tolerance, religious tolerance, and activism for both subjects will be heavily present. Also: music, political rants and social activism, photography, pretty boys, and random liveblogging. Now for those of you who don't mind reading...

My name is Jean. I am a 23-year-old gay guy displaced from the hills of Québec to the Southeastern USofA, with a little flair for the big city, thanks to some time I spent in Chicago. I love that place and hope to return someday, if only for another couple years or so. I'm a musician - piano and viola are my primary instruments, but I also play organ, violin, cello, bass, mandolin, guitar, harp, clarinet, marimba, and timpani. Music is my highest passion; there's never a moment where there isn't some snippet of sound in my mind.

My other passion is culture. I speak French on a just-shy-of-fluent basis (about as well as I get on in English), and I can get by in Spanish, and comprehend most other Romantic languages to a degree. Through recent enlightenment, I have come to realize that I speak Esvenskeránçeutch.

I also happen to be gay. It's part of who I am, but it's not the only thing about me. I am a supporter of all things LGBTQSA+ and all the other letters and combinations. I do not tolerate intolerance, and will meet it with fiery abandon.

I'm also a person of really odd philosophies. I respect and appreciate all religions, creeds, and doctrines, as well as everyone's choice therein. You will find among my friends plenty of Christians, Jews, Atheists, Wiccans, Muslims, Buddhists, and otherwise.

Bottom line, this is a blog about ACCEPTANCE and LOVE. That's really all there is to it. You'll also get a lot of my personal ramblings and the occasional spamming of music and art. And occasionally photography (much of which will have an LGBT focus). And if you decide you like what you see and are of equal mindset, don't hesitate to drop me an Ask. I love talking to intelligent people about these things that are so dear to me.
